About Us

Here's my personal back story and why I got started with fitness. Growing up in high school I was extremely self-conscious in my appearance and specifically with my physique. I secretly wanted to become more muscular, but I had no idea how to do it. I was scared to workout at a gym, because I knew I was going to be judged for being so weak and skinny. I went through years of people saying that I need to eat more, or questioning where the food went when I ate, because I was still skinny after eating a lot of food. My confidence was low because I had no idea how to bulk up, get more muscular, or get stronger…and it seemed like I’d be stuck that way forever.

Later in high school and early in college I took the advice of many people who were bigger than me: "Do a dirty bulk", "Eat big to get big", "Drink mass gainer shakes''...I tried all these things, and it led to me going from being skinny and 160lbs, to being skinny-fat at 175lbs. I gained some weight, but it only went to my stomach. My chest, shoulders, and arms were all the same size as before, but now I had love handles and a little bit of a gut. What made it worse was that when I had a shirt on, I still looked just as skinny as when I was 15lbs lighter. My body wasn't any more muscular, I wasn't any stronger, and I still felt uncomfortable taking my shirt off in public, even though I had “bulked up”. I almost threw in the towel on my goal when I thought I would have to choose being underweight and have some definition, or having a big stomach just to say I was heavier.

However, I gave it one more chance and did extensive research on YouTube while also getting a bachelor's degree in the health field and learning from people with way more experience than I had. I started to find systems of eating and working out that were sustainable, and got me the results I had been looking for for years. That made me want to try these same methods on others, and it turns out these methods work on every client that has committed themselves to it for a minimum of 3 months.

Once I made a promise to myself to not give up with the strategies I learned, I was able to go from 175lbs to 200lbs, while having MORE core definition, a more muscular upper body, stronger legs, looked bigger in my t-shirts, and had more overall confidence with my shirt off in public.

Fast forward more than 10 years since I started my fitness journey, I’m able to bench press more than 300lbs, squat more than 400lbs, and deadlift more than 500lbs. This is all because I implemented what I call the Skinny No More 3-step solution to my training and my nutrition.

Now, these same 3 steps have helped clients I train reach new gym PRs they never thought possible and have the physique they’ve always wanted.
